Dr. Rajesh Chandra Mishra is a nationally and internationally acclaimed Intensivist, Internist, and Tele-Consultant, recognised as a pioneer of modern critical care medicine in India and Southeast Asia. With over two decades of experience, he has built a legacy of advancing evidence-based, humanised, and accessible critical care through leadership, education, innovation, and compassion.

As Founder of Gujarat Critical Care (GCC) and Director of Shaibya Comprehensive Care Clinic, he has created a seamless model of hospital, tele-ICU, and post-ICU continuity of care, transforming how critical illness is managed in both tertiary and peripheral settings.

Dr. Rajesh Chandra Mishra’s two-decade journey defines leadership, excellence in critical care, education, and patient-centric healthcare transformation.

  • 2003

    Began his medical journey after completing MBBS from KGMU, Lucknow, and MD (Medicine) from BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur. Early years marked by deep engagement with internal medicine and complex patient management.

  • 2006

    Completed FNB (Critical Care Medicine), becoming one of India’s earliest trained intensivists under the National Board. Developed interest in hemodynamic monitoring, sepsis management, and ventilator strategies.

  • 2009

    Founded Gujarat Critical Care (GCC) — an academic and clinical movement to promote evidence-based, protocol-driven ICU practice across India. Initiated free online training for nurses and doctors, and established tele-ICU connectivity to remote hospitals.

  • 2014

    Rose to leadership positions within the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) — serving as General Secretary, Organising Secretary of CritiCare 2020, and chairing multiple national committees. Launched several multicentre studies and educational platforms.

  • 2023

    Served as President and Chancellor of ISCCM, and India Representative to ESICM, driving international collaborations with WFSICCM, SCCM, and Sri Lankan Critical Care Society. Organised CritiCare 2023 (Indore) — acclaimed as one of the best ISCCM congresses.

  • Present:

    Leads Shaibya Comprehensive Care Clinic, focusing on preventive, personalised, and tele-enabled critical care. Continues to mentor intensivists, conduct nationwide workshops, and integrate technology into patient-centric ICU care models.
